This is a literary group which differs from a 'reading group' in that we choose literary works which follow, or are connected with, a particular theme or genre. This could include fiction, non-fiction, poetry, plays, and any other forms of literature relevant to our theme of the moment.

We might look at literature from the 17th-21st century (or even earlier in some cases), wherever applicable and wherever we can make a connection, to see how these themes have been treated throughout the years.

The overall aim of the group is to study, but also to enjoy, literature of all genres and time periods.
