Hi everyone
Well that was another belter wasn't it? Quite a slow start and then Carol asked a question and we were off!!!!!!!
I can't tell you how much I enjoy our discussions, not least the respect and patience we give to each other, listening carefully and always being polite and thoughtful in our responses. Never mind the absolute wealth of poetry we hear and enjoy. Thank you everyone.

The Dylan Thomas poem is a villanelle and there was discussion about that form. I've looked it up!
A villanelle has five stanzas of three lines then a single stanza of four lines. It has two repeating rhymes and two refrains. The first line of Stanza 1 is the last line of Stanza 2 and 4. Line 2 of Stanza 1 is the last line of Stanzas 3 and 5
I could go on but I won't! Interestingly, there is no fixed meter.
Sue talked about the Bob Dylan Biopic (sort of) A Complete Unknown (a line from Like A Rolling Stone) interestingly, Sue commented on how the film had a lot to do with his life and the controversy (impossible to imagine these days) caused by the simple act of plugging in a Fender guitar and playing with a rock/blues band. She would have liked more about his songs and lyrics, his songwriting and his artistry. I could go on but I won't !!
If you feel up to it, download Highway 61 Revisited and play it very very loudly. Then of course, you could try the other 39 studio albums, the 21 live albums and the 17 Bootleg Series albums. Yes that is how deep my addiction lies.
