On a pleasant Spring morning which was fine and sunny, 16 walkers set off from The Sportsman pub car park walking a little way down the main road and along a lane into Sandall Beat.

After about a twenty minute walk down a woodland track we crossed a bridge over the railway line and entered Cantley Woods.

After a pretty circular route around the woods we crossed back over the railway bridge through Sandall Beat and back to The Sportsman pub for an enjoyable lunch.
