Doncaster

We had our first meeting!

We kicked it off at last! I was very pleased to be leading this group, because although it is deeply buried somewhere behind all the filing cabinets in my head, the drawer marked "German from a long time ago" is now opening again.

After a few housekeeping points about risk assessment, rules of using Prego and getting on the new WhatsApp group, we kicked off with the alphabet - a good place to start - and some rules about sounds and pronunciation. But this first lesson did not allow enough time for the important thing, which is getting the group up and talking.

Sooooooooo ...... next time we will check that alphabet again and spell our names then learn common greetings, numbers to twenty and saying phone numbers, all of which will lead to us role playing some short conversations. If time allows we will learn the numbers to 100. It'll lead to loads of homework, chums!

Bis bald! (See you soon) !
