Every Tuesday Du3a members meet to have a coffee at Powerhouse.
This has been happening for over a year now and regulars include long established members of Du3a, new members, committee members, solo and couples, some come every week and some drop in occasionally.
There is no agenda to the meeting, conversation covers every subject, sometimes a large group joining in, sometimes chat between two or three people with shared interest.
It is a brilliant way of finding out about groups and a catalyst for new groups emerging. It was meeting with Karen on a Tuesday morning, recognising our shared interest in theatre from which developed our new Theatre Group.
The morning is informal, fun, sometimes serious and supportive, other times with outbursts of laughter.
Milk and Honey serve good coffees etc., cake, breakfast or lunch all at reasonable prices - and offer a loyalty card for hot drinks. Paula recommends the cheese scones, but you need to be there early as they go quickly!
All are welcome, any time between 10.30am and 1.00pm, pop in or stay for the whole session, choice is yours but you will be assured of a warm welcome and the photo taken in October, says it all.
